What an EPUB is here
A zip of XHTML plus a small manifest. Each PDF page becomes a section of extracted text. Images, columns, and the original line layout are not copied.
Scanned PDFs
If the PDF is image-only, the tool stops and points you at OCR PDF, the same check Extract Text uses. An EPUB of nothing is not a useful ebook.
How to convert PDF to EPUB
- Open PDF to EPUB.
- Upload a text-based PDF.
- Click Convert to EPUB and download
book.epub. - Open it in an ebook reader.

Text is extracted and zipped on your device. The PDF is not uploaded.
